Sacred geometry is based on the observation that geometry is fundamental to our world. Whether you look at it from the point of view of mathematics, quantum physics, art, or mysticism, you can appreciate that shapes and proportions have a profound effect on our lives. Many people find that the best way to incorporate sacred geometry into their lives is to wear it.

Wearing Sacred Geometry

You have many choices when it comes to wearing sacred geometry. You can have symbols on clothing such as t-shirts, hats, or jackets. You can wear talismans or other types of jewelry. If you really want to take a symbol with you wherever you go, you can even have it tattooed on your body. Here are just a few examples of geometric symbols you might wear.

  • Flower of Life  The Flower of Life is a symbol composed of many overlapping circles in a pattern resembling a flower.  Both of these patterns symbolize the infinitely creative nature of reality.
  • Metatron's Cube. Metatron's Cube, named after the Archangel Metatron, a variation on the Flower of Life, is made of 13 equal circles and a hexagonal pattern around a central circle.
  • Sri Yantra. This Hindu symbol is made of 9 interlocking triangles. It is often used in prayer and meditation for concentration and to connect with the divine. One interpretation is that the triangles represent the soul's path to enlightenment. In some religious sects, each triangle is represented by a deity.
  • Om Mani Padme Hum.  Also called the Compassion Buddha mantra, this is traditionally chanted by Buddhists in India, Nepal, Tibet, and other places. When written, it's composed of 6 syllables. Buddhists believe that reciting this mantra helps to purify the soul and release negative karma.
  • Yin-Yang. This is a simple but profound Chinese symbol representing the interaction between dualities. Yin represents the feminine, Yang the masculine. The symbol is usually drawn as a circle divided into black and white halves. Significantly, there's often a smaller black circle within the larger white circle and a small white circle within the larger black one, reminding us that each principle contains the seed of its opposite.

These are just some of the better known sacred geometry symbols. There are many others, including familiar religious symbols such as the cross, the Chai symbol (from Hebrew), the infinity symbol, and countless others. Let's look at some of the leading benefits of wearing such symbols.

Reminds You of the Sacred

When you wear symbols such as spirals, the Flower of Life, Tree of Life, or other examples of sacred geometry, it keeps you in touch with the spiritual realm. This isn't always easy to do in your daily life. Even if you meditate, read books, or take part in any type of spiritual practice, it can be easy to get caught up in the daily grind. If you have a symbol close to you at all times, you can get in touch with timeless principles whenever you need to.

If you want to change your consciousness, it helps to use as many tools and techniques as possible. Wearing items with spiritual symbols is a way to keep you in touch with your values and aspirations.

May Have Healing Powers

For centuries, people have attributed healing powers to certain symbols. You shouldn't use sacred geometry as a replacement for medical care to diagnose or treat illnesses. However, it may be able to support the healing process. This is based on the idea that sacred geometry has an effect on the body as well as the mind. When you consider that our very DNA displays geometric qualities this isn't so hard to believe. Healing symbols include the Hindu Om symbol, mandalas, the Christian cross, Reiki symbols, the Flower of Life, the Egyptian ankh, and the spiral (used in many ancient cultures such as the Australian Aborigines).

Sacred geometry may be helpful as protection against electrical pollution or EMFs (electromagnetic fields). Devices such as mobile phones and computer emit a certain amount of radiation. The same is true of phone lines, cell phone towers, and the hundreds of appliances that surround us every day. For example, there's growing evidence linking cell phone radiation with cancer. Sacred geometry can help you stay centered, align your chakras, and reduce stress. Of course, you should also take commonsense precautions as well. For example, use headphones when talking on mobile phones so the device isn't as close to your head.

The idea that symbols can protect and heal you isn't new. Geometry has long been incorporated into architecture for spiritual and healing purposes. One theory about the purpose of ancient structures such as pyramids and megaliths is that they had a healing effect. Some people are designing homes and workplaces to create a spiritual and healing environment. Unfortunately, however, the majority of people have limited control over their environment. Only a fortunate minority can afford to design their own homes. However, almost anyone can wear healing symbols.

Helps You Connect With Likeminded People

Another reason to wear items with a sacred geometry theme is to make a statement and connect with your tribe. People have always used symbols to recognize others of like mind. This is as true today as it was hundreds of years ago. When you wear a necklace, t-shirt, or any accessory with a sacred symbol, you're making a public statement.

People who resonate with the symbol you're displaying will be drawn to you. It's a great conversation piece. Even if you don't get to talk to someone, you can feel connected. For example, isn't it fun and validating to see a stranger in public wearing a t-shirt with the name of a band, sports team, or place that you love? Spiritual symbols can similarly create a fellowship among people who are inspired by them.

Aesthetically Pleasing

While you can wear sacred geometry for its spiritual meaning or healing powers, it's also perfectly valid to wear such items simply because you like the way they look. Sacred symbols such as the Flower of Life and Sri Yantra have been used in art and architecture across many cultures. One reason for this is that they are aesthetically beautiful and create a sense of balance and harmony. If you're drawn to a certain design, you'll enjoy wearing it.

Wearing Sacred Geometry: A Simple Way to Increase Your Well-Being

There are quite a few good reasons to wear clothing, jewelry, and other accessories that display sacred and spiritual symbols. They can increase your awareness and well being while helping you connect with similarly inclined people. Sacred geometry plays a vital role in nature and human civilization. Wearing such symbols is a simple way to align yourself with these powerful symbols.
